Sam, Talia, Jon and I attended the 42nd annual Promise Ball at Cipriani Wall Street on Thursday. Sam is a veteran at the Fund-a-Cure auction, but this year, Talia got to go on stage as well. The theme was how diabetes affects an entire family and she spoke about her role in the TRIGR study and her blood tests for research. Sam talked about the ways that his family supports him - "too many to count." The evening raised $2.4 million for JDRF. Sam and Talia also got to keep the B-52's drumsticks after their set.
